My English 102 Experience

This semester at Farmingdale State College has not been easy.  Prior to studying at Farmingdale, I went away to school for two years, and ended up transferring over my junior year.  There are several things that I will cherish from this particular English class.  In Professor Brady’s class, I was able to expand my knowledge through literature.  This class has given me the opportunity to open my eyes to endless possibilities that literature can offer.
Throughout this semester I was able to further my comprehension skills.  Reading various short stories, poems, etc… I was capable of analyzing all of the pieces.  Learning about poetry was one of my favorite subjects.  I was able to connect with what many of the poets were writing about.  I mainly connected with poems about love.  Professor Brady was able to raise my interest in poetry through her lectures.
Whenever I leave a classroom, I tend not to really think about that was actually brought up in class.  But in the case of Professor Brady’s English 102 class, a few classmates and I always had discussions about the lessons.  By taking this class, I grew as a reader and writer.  I’m happy to say that my interest in reading novels from different time periods has increased.  I know that I will be thinking about what I have learned in this course, and will use it in my life to come.
